2016 Bossier Parish Student Art Show: Imagination Running Wild
Beginning December 1st, 2016 and hanging until January 31st, 2017 we will feature artworks from a variety of Bossier Parish students as part of our annual Bossier Parish Student Art Show which will be on display in both our East Bank Gallery and Emerging Artist Gallery. The theme of this year’s show is, “Imagination Running Wild”.
We invite students and their families to the Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony that will be held Tuesday, December 6th, 2016 from 6pm – 8pm at the Bossier Arts Council.
This year’s theme encourages students from Bossier Parish’s elementary, middle, and high schools to produce artworks that best express their limitless creativity and imagination. Anything is possible with an imagination running wild! Freedom of expression is a fundamental value that art instills in students and the purpose of this show is to provide them with the opportunity to showcase their creative visions and artistic ideas through producing original works of art.
The Bossier Arts Council accepts various media including, painting, drawing, collage, graphic art, print, as well as digital and traditional photography. Students may also submit their work in two-dimensional or three-dimensional formats. We will be awarding $1500 in prizes this year.
All student works must be picked up no later than January 30th by 5:00pm.
