As a third grader she withdrew from everything around her. She found that doodling helped her to go into her own little world in school.
As she got older, she was better able to focus on what was going on in school by doodling as she was being taught her lessons. She used this technique all the way through college. Dawn finds that she is able to focus on things being said around her and relax more if she is doodling. Her “doodling” has become more intricate and detailed. She paints first with watercolors and then draws on top of that. At other times she doodles while waiting at appointments and then paints the art afterwards. This way of doodling and painting has served her well.
She is able to create stunningly intricate pieces.
